We’ve learned to write for nearly a year,

And we’ve crossed the bridges without any fear.

We’ve battled through problems, using poetry power,

And now we can reach high and far.

Every season has shone lights in our lives,

And in class we’ve written about mountains and hives.

Through all the situations,

Our poetry has brought us to firm conclusions.

When summer arrived,

In the heat our poetry helped us to thrive.

In the rain it was a whole different story,

During storms and crashes, writing brought us victory.

Autumn fell upon us,

The wind blowing away all the dust.

Crackling red leaves, falling outside

 While in poetry we believed.

And now the winter looms beside us,

It’s mighty strength growing before us.

The cold and windy weather,

Blows away each tiny feather.

During each season we stuck together,

Whether we wrote about snow, leaves or heather.
